The files on this site are related to a paper I presented at the 128th Audio Engineering Society Conference in London, England in May, 2010. All of the filesets included here are from Experimental 2, also called Exp2. No comparison was made with other tetrahedral microphones for this paper. Exp2 simply stands on its own merits.

The paper reports on the redesign of the microphone based on the "future work" section of my AES_126th paper, from suggestions made by folks gracious enough to let me record their work, and from comments from those who have reviewed my construction and recordings. The new design significantly improves its sound pressure capabilities, portability and ruggedness, gain-setting repeatability, and acceptance in the concert hall. It has become a device which can meet the needs of students and experimenters interested in learning about ambisonic surround recording.
